PRETTY TOES
Dr. Tolle B. Copeland, ND
Weather

Toes that have been hiding all these cold and rainy days start to creep out in the sunshine, begging to be shown off in cute strappy sandles. Unfortunately a season of steamy damp dark environs and maybe an ill-fated pedi was the perfect trifecta for an invasion of Tinea unguinum. Plainly translated, that’s “toenail fungus.”  Fortuntately, with persistance, there’s an alternative to liver-toxic Lamasil. All it takes is patience and a few basic tools. Recipe unveiled here:

FOOT SOAK RECIPE
1 pint dark beer (Guinness)
2 c. apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Pharmax HLC high potency powder (probiotics)

Gently warm beer and vinegar combination. While solution is warming, aggressively file surface of affected nails and thoroughly trim down all unattached nail. Transfer to a shallow pan suitable to cover all affected toes. Add probiotic powder. Soak affected areas for 20 minutes per day. After foot soak, file nails again as thoroughly as possible then apply Vicks Vaporub to fungal toenails. Cover with a bandage. Repeat entire process each evening until healthy nail tissue has completely recovered. This may take several months and will be expedited by avoiding dietary sugar and going barefoot as much as possible. May store foot soak solution in refrigerator for up to 4 uses.

Spaht testimonial

“SPAhT surpassed all of my expectations upon the first visit. I visited initially hoping for help in dealing with some stressful life situations, with a focus on improving my health (vs. a typical doctor who may prescribe drugs). Dr. Copeland was extremely knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics, and after a thorough consultation outlined several options that would contribute to my overall health. I was impressed with both her medical knowledge, and also her ability to zero in on what I wasn’t saying as much as what I was (you know those “little truths” we like to keep from doctors that only serve to keep us from getting the help we really need?). She treated me homeopathically, and due to the initial success I have expanded my visits to her to include other areas of practice as well (massage, weight loss, etc). I highly recommend SPAhT under the guidance of Dr. Copeland. She lives the wellness she facilitates, and does so in a professional and inspirational manner.”

THE KEEPER: BEST KEPT SECRET SINCE THE SECRET
Dr. Tolle B. Copeland, ND

Cold & FluTop 10 reasons to check out The Keeper at www.thekeeper.com
  1. You, your girlfriend, daughter or mother live in an 82 year old building, and every once in a while someone (never you) flushes a tampon down the toilet, much to the dismay of the 82 year-old plumbing.
  2. You’re going travelling overseas and may end up in a village with no garbage disposal. That’s right, no where to throw anything away (and nothing to throw…talk about green!)
  3. You don’t want to expose yourself to dioxins, cancer-causing toxins that leach out of close exposure to bleached paper or cotton products.
  4. You spend more on feminine hygine products than you do on double tall skinny lattes every month.
  5. It’s always on the day you have your big box of Tampax that you end up standing in line at the check-out next to the cute unmarried guy.
  6. You got yourself a Sigg bottle, an Envirosax shopping bag, and you’ve sworn off plastic.
  7. You like to go to the spa even during that time of the month when you’re not supposed to, because maybe it’s your birthday, and hey, you want to get in free! We understand.
  8. You want to buy your last feminine hygeine product ever, (well at least for the next 10 years) for only $35.
  9. Heather Brandon’s Keeper Testimonial. Heather is a Biologist from Austin, Texas and summed it up very nicely…

“I started using the Keeper (a washable menstrual cup) when I was a senior in college, and I have not bought a box of tampons since! I've used the Keeper for four years and here's why:
· It's cheap! The cost, averaged over ten years of use, is only 30 cents per month!
· It's environmental! I don't throw away feminine hygiene products. · It's discreet! I've never had to send my boyfriend to the store to buy tampons and pads. · It's easy! I can carry it in my purse if I think I'm going to start my period. · It doesn't leak. I can keep it in over night. It is ideal for traveling and camping. I only need to empty it twice a day, and the Keeper can be washed with soap and water. · It's healthy! Cotton used for tampons and pads are bleached... causing dioxins [in the process]. I'm already subjected to pesticides, cleaning products, and gasoline on a daily basis, so why add dioxin to the list? (Thank you Heather!)

    Reusable Menstrual Cup
  1. It’s guarenteed for 3 months. If you don’t like it, return for a full refund!
So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself or your woman-friends a Keeper or Keeper Moon Cup, and then tell every other woman you know to get one too! You’ll be feeling very smug.
